WILLIAMS – Richard Lee Cobb, 54, 2986 Port Williams Road, Williams, passed away at 8:07 a.m. Thursday, January 20, 2005, at his residence.

Born March 28, 1950, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Melvin Bradley “M. B.” and Grace Delmar (Stigall) Cobb. He married Edna Floetta Wright February 3, 1978.

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, and always his mother’s favorite child, he has now joined her, his father, and sister in Heaven.

From the age of 16 until his disability retirement in 2000, he had worked as a plasterer for residential and commercial projects.

He was a member of Christ Temple Pentecostal Church in Bedford, Oolitic Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1686, and Laborers and Plasterers Unions Local No. 741.

His parents and sister, Mary Catherine “Cat” Oliver, preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 24, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Epley officiating. Burial will be in Bryantsville Church of Christ Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday and from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Monday at the funeral home.
