MITCHELL – Robert Wayne Lindsey, Sr., 56, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Indiana University Health Hospice House.

Born April 15, 1967, in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of Ivan Amil Lindsey and Patricia Ann (Maloney) Nedrow.

Robert enjoyed walking around with his imaginary dog, Spot. He was a jokester and always silly.

Surviving are his children, Jessica (Wesley) Lindsey of Newark, Texas, Jamie Lindsey of Morrilton, Arkansas, Katherine Lindsey of Mitchell, Samantha Lindsey of Mitchell, Robert Wayne Lindsey, Jr. of Sweetwater, Tennessee, and Brianna Lindsey of Sweetwater, Tennessee; grandchildren, Sophia, Zane, Keara, Emmarie, Janyia, Talius, Avreyanna, Karyson, Traytan, Mattie, Zaylan, Dillon, Jr., and Vivian; and siblings, Tina Sonberger of Ecorse, Michigan, Sheila Lindsey of Lincoln Park, Michigan, William Lindsey of Lincoln Park, Michigan, Lisa Lindsey of Texas, and Betty Jean Lindsey of Houghton Lake, Michigan.

His parents and sister, Venus Kay Lindsey, preceded him in death.

Cremation has been chosen.

Hey dad i know you’re never gonna be able to read this message but i really do miss and love you so much i know i may have been a little harsh on you throughout the years and even the things i said to you when you were and weren’t in my life i still regret to this day i love you more than anyone could ever imagine and i really hope to see you on the other side but im writing this to you so i can relay a message in heaven and i met some pretty amazing people after you passed that i really wish you could have met i’ve told all of them about you Jeremie Danny Shawn Gerald Brandy Chris and last but not least my beautiful fiancée destiny i wish you could have met them but your legacy will never be forgotten i promise im taking good care of spot for you and i’m so so sorry i couldn’t make it to see you before you passed i got there 16 minutes too late but i promise i’ll make those 16 minutes up when i see you again i got the day you passed away tattooed on my arm because i wanted you to be apart of me forever . I remember all them times that you had drew all them amazing drawings on me throughout my life, I had found a picture of the last drawing you had drew on the calf of my leg before you had past away daddy.. ugh!.
