Our condolences go out to the family of Rosie Evans. We feel blessed to have known such a kind and loving person as Rosie. Since we first moved to Indiana we were always welcomed in the Evans family gatherings and have fond memories of visiting with our boys to their home. Our hearts go out to her daughters and grandchildren and hope they find comfort in knowing they were truly loved. We will miss you Rosie.

I took piano lessons from Rosalind for five years and, I must say, she had the patience of Job when I didn't practice my lessons! I largely have her to thank for my excellent posture, too! She was a fine lady and will be greatly missed. You all have my deepest condolences and may God's love and happy memories of "Rosie" comfort you now and in the days ahead.

My thought and prayers are with the entire Evans's family. I have such fond memories of coming to their house and playing when my parent's Dell and Garnet Shuck would come to visit Roy and Ethel.. May all of you find peace knowing she is in Heaven. Your mother was always so friendly and fun at the DAR meetings. She was the one that I tried to sit beside at our meetings.. She was engaging in all subjects and upbeat in all things. I share your sadness in her passing.

Rosalind was a great lady and music teacher. She taught me piano for over 10 years, which I enjoy playing to this day. So sorry to hear of her unexpected death. Rosalind will always be in my childhood memories living in Orange and Washington counties. Prayers to you all. . . .

Judge McCord: So sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. Her picture is just beautiful and you look so much like her. She sounded as if she was someone everyone would want to know. Over the years I have heard you speak so lovingly about your mother. The mother-daughter relationship is a special one and one to be treasured. Your memories of your times shared and her wisdom will always be with you as you continue to share her wisdom with your children. Take comfort in knowing so many people care about you and are keeping you in our thoughts. Donna F. Pratt

My deepest sympathy to everyone, Some shocks are greater than others and Rosie's passing was a great shock. I must tell you that "back in the day" of The Mitchell Tribune, when church news was the news of Mitchell, and Jack and I lived away from Mitchell, I read every line of news. Rosie always seemed to figure prominently in the Baptist Church news. When we moved back to Mitchell I was anxious to see and experience the "Rosie" of the church news, of course she was nothing like the "little gray-haired lady" I had imagined. There are many more stories about Rosie which is why she will be greatly missed by so many. Judy.

I never met her but I am friends with one of the best parts of her. My thoughts are with all of you and I send you strength & love to get through these next days. Pat

Thank you Rosie for being a super, special sister-in-law. My favorite memory of Rosie is when she and Gerald flew to California. Together we embarked on a two week journey to see all of the Golden state In just 14 days. She didn't miss a single view of landscape, wild life, oceans mountains, and people. She had a passion for beauty in all of nature as evidenced and portrayed in her artistic works. I will always remember Rosie as one who is beautiful, talented and spiritual in all that she did. She was truly "God's Master Piece."
