MITCHELL — Alice Ann Blocksom, 71, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Bedford.

Born July 20, 1950, in Terre Haute, she was the daughter of Paul Edward and Alice Marie (Smedler) Byrley. She married Rickie Allen Blocksom August 17, 1968.

Alice retired from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department. She loved making jewelry and crafting. Alice was an avid reader.

Survivors include her husband, Rick Blocksom of Mitchell and daughter, Nikki (Joseph) Stinson of Mitchell.

Her parents and sister, Carolyn Robertson, preceded her in death.

Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 3, at Mitchell Cemetery with Jeremy Robertson officiating.
