MITCHELL Alice Margaret (Cooke) Walton, 56, Mitchell, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Monday, February 5, at Bloomington Hospital.

Born April 11, 1951, in French Lick, she was the daughter of Percy and Clara (Haps) Cooke. She married Ronald K. Walton November 29, 1969 and he survives.

She had been a Girl Scout leader, aerobics instructor, teachers aide in the Mitchell School system, K-Mart Portrait Studio photographer, Spring Mill Inn dining room manager, Mitchell Library childrens department worker, and administrative assistant at St. Marys Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church where she was on the parish council. She was also active in Friends of the Mitchell Library and LIFE Pantry.

Her parents and brothers Colin and James Cooke preceded her in death.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 9, at St. Marys Catholic Church with Father Rick Eldred officiating. Burial will be in Moores Ridge Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Chastain Funeral Home. Rosary Service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
