MITCHELL – Anetra Jean Kendall, 81, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018, at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford.

Born December 7, 1936, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Orgal and Lavon (Johnson) McCart.  She married Don Kendall May 23, 1953, and he preceded her in death March 15, 1998.

Anetra retired from Mills Market with 34 years of service.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church and devoted her life to helping others.  Her life revolved around her children and grandchildren.

Her parents; husband; mother-in-law, Nora Kendall; and daughter-in-law, Sherry Kendall, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 2, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Reverend Reggie Clark officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:30 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
