MITCHELL – Angela Kay Blanton, 69, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at U of L Health Hospital.

Born December 19, 1955, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Robert and Deloris (Hopper) Pridemore.  She married Charles Edward Blanton on January 29, 1975 and he survives.

Angela was a homemaker and loved her family.

Surviving are her husband, Charles Edward Blanton of Mitchell; children, Joni (Darin) Wallot of Mitchell, Erica (Nick) Doss of Mitchell, Bobby (Elizabeth) Blanton of Paoli, and Grace (Bobby) Bunch of Mitchell; grandchildren, Destiny Kern, Erin Kern, Jeremiah Kern, Brianna Wallot, Jacob Wallot, Justin Wallot, Camille Wallot, Alex Blanton, Brett Blanton, Haley Hudelson, Jeremiah Cunningham, Jordan Quinn, Jaycob Blanton, Jasiah Blanton, Lalei Brown, Eli Voorhies, Abby Voorhies, Reasa Silverthorn, Tyra Dean, and Madison Bunch; 17 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Danny Pridemore of Mitchell and Annette Pridemore of Mitchell.

Her parents; son, Johnny Johnson; and brother, Delbert Pridemore, preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 10, at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.  Cremation to follow.  Graveside service will be held at a later date.
