MITCHELL Aston Samuel “Buck” Hall, 82, passed away at 10:45 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born February 6, 1930, in Ben Hur, Virginia, he was the son of Marshall and Nancy (Sage) Hall. He married Mary Jane “Mollie” Deirth November 29, 1952, and she preceded him in death August 2, 1997.

Aston spent four years in the Army Corps of Engineers serving in England and Panama. Upon his return, he spent the majority of his working years as a truck driver, retiring from Teamsters with Mitchell Transport in 1985.

several nieces and nephews

His parents; wife, “Mollie”; and 13 brothers and sisters, preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, at Province Funeral Home, Pennington Gap, Virginia. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. until the service at the funeral home. A graveside service with military rites will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 5, at Lee Memorial Gardens, Woodway, Virginia.

Friends may call on Monday, April 2, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Chastain Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

    What a grand reunion there must be in heaven with all the pickin' and tellin' truck drivin' stories goin' on! Buck will be greatly missed and I'm so glad we got to visit at the reunion in Pennington Gap in 2008.
