GREENWOOD – Barbara Ann Pridemore, 92, formerly of Mitchell, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021, at her home.

Born August 12, 1928, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Homer Garfield Hawk and Clois Edna (Edwards) Hawk Tincher. She married John Caldwell Pridemore July 25, 1987, and he preceded her in death December 21, 2002.

Barbara was a homemaker.

Her parents; husband; son, Charles Michael Roach; and siblings, Betty Frances Hawk, Homer Leon Hawk, and Rosemary Olivia Patton, preceded her in death.

Graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, at Mitchell Cemetery with Reverend Reggie Clark officiating.

I did remember meeting her when my Aunt Gretchen brought me up there on May 31, 2005, when she took me to a local dentist in Indianapolis, 3 weeks before I had to travel West to Arizona and visit with my other relatives. And now we will greatly miss a good friend in our Pridemore Family we have been blessed to have known her for generations. May she rest in peace.
