MITCHELL Barbara June Brown, 79, passed away at 5:47 a.m. Thursday, September 27, 2012, at her residence.

Born July 22, 1933, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Bertram and Hazel (Winkler) Brim.

Barbara retired from Stone City Products and was a graduate of Mitchell High School in 1951. She was a member of the Orleans Church of the Nazarene and past president and treasurer of the Order of Eagles Auxiliary.

Her parents; sisters, Virginia Lee Jones, Emma Sue Bess, and infant Betty JoAnn Brim; and grandson, Josh Brown, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, at the Orleans Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Jerry Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Christian Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Monday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the church.
