Barry was the kindest most compassionate man I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Over the years we spent countless nights talking and laughing until sunrise. Barry spoke often of his co-workers, his former wife Nancy, his son B.J and Family, he so admired his Sister who takes such loving care of his beautiful Mother, his nieces and nephews. He told me stories about his late Father, his High School days, he spoke with such compassion I felt like I knew each and everyone of you. Barry loved his dogs, and grieved deeply each time he lost one. Barry's friends on the F-Dock were his extended family, many whom I had has the pleasure of meeting. That was his "go to". This is such a sad loss for so many, I will always and forever treasure the time we shared together, and as we always left our conversations with...TTYL XO. Miss you my friend.

I am so sorry to hear of Barry's passing. I would run into him a couple times a year and we would have great talks of boating, beaches and Bluejackets.

Black Lumber has worked with Barry Jones, for more years that we would like to admit. I'm pretty sure we were kids when he started coming in. I am so glad he came in before he left on vacation and said goodbye he would be gone on vacation for a while. We will miss him so much.

Barry will be missed on F Dock at Lake Monroe for his kind demeanor, and Barry's "No Drama" bar that most of us F Dockers liked to visit every weekend in the summer. He always had a smile on his face and even though I am sad he passed so unexpectedly, at least he was doing what he enjoyed...vacationing and golfing. Barry loved the Eagles and I remember him talking about going to many of their concerts. I'm sure he is listening to "Peaceful Easy Feeling" in a "No Drama" zone as I write this message. See you when I get there, Barry! Luv, Susie (Gypsy Dolphin)
