MITCHELL – Bernice Mae “Bonnie” Bundy, 87, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022, at her home.
Born April 18, 1935, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Rice and Grace (Barlow) Blackerby. Bonnie married Leo Dale Bundy October 21, 1950, and he preceded her in death December 9, 2004.
Bonnie retired after 30 plus years from RCA. She was a member of IBEW Local 1424 and Paoli Senior Citizens. Bonnie loved her family, especially cooking for them. She also enjoyed going dancing every weekend.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Lou (Joe) Fleenor of Mitchell; sons, Steven Brent Bundy of Mitchell, Jeffrey Dale Bundy of Mitchell, Barry Scott (Betty Stevens) Bundy of Mitchell, and Michael Lee Bundy of Mitchell; grandchildren, Kim Fleenor, Sean Fleenor, Devin Reynolds, Shandi Lambert, Casey Montoya, Scott Bundy, Mark Wisley, Emilee Bundy, Logan Bundy, and Makenzie Bundy; three great grandsons; two great great grandsons; and siblings, June Hall of Mitchell, Janet (Carl) Quinn of Mitchell, and Sue Woods of Mitchell.
Her parents; husband; and siblings, Ray Blackerby, Earl Blackerby, Evelyn “Maxine” Worley, Marie Sebastian, and Betty Blackerby, preceded her in death.
Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, at Mitchell Cemetery with Brother Carl Quinn officiating.
