MITCHELL Bessie Utterback Watson Terry, 89, Mitchell, passed away at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Jewish Hospital, Louisville.
Born June 21, 1918, in Dunnville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Perry and Mary Martha (Austin) Owens.
She was a homemaker, and a retired nursing assistant at Bedford Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Mitchell Senior Citizens, and active in community service. She was chosen as Hoosier Uplands Woman of the Year, and was a member of Stone City Red Hats.

Her parents; husbands, Willard “Bud” Utterback, James Watson, and Chester Terry; son in law, Elmer Porter; brothers, Leo and Dewey Owens in infancy, and Alvin Owens; and sisters, Rose Singleton, Nettie Atwood, and Fannie Jeffries, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Hopkins and Rev. Bill Graham officiating. Entombment will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens mausoleum.
Friends may call from 2:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Monday at the funeral home.
