WILLIAMS Bettie Gene Miller, 93, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.

Born July 21, 1928, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Willie Everett and Mae Anna (Dorsett) Edwards.   She married Harold Raymond Miller August 24, 1946, and he preceded her in death August 28, 1998.

Bettie was a homemaker and a member of the Huron Baptist Church.  She graduated from Huron High School in 1946.   Bettie enjoyed gardening, preserving the harvest, and quilting.

Joe White of Swansea, Massachusetts

Her parents; husband; granddaughter, Shannon Qualkenbush; and siblings, George Edwards, Dorsey Edwards, Sr.; and Wanetta Ross, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 29, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor William “Skip” Mathews officiating.  Burial will be Port William Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Casketbearers:  Shawn Qualkenbush, Devin Qualkinbush, Ricky Carpenter, Eric Miller, Jimmy Abner, John King, Brennan Fults, and Kevin King.
