MITCHELL – Bonnie Jean Henderson, 77, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bedford.

Born August 12, 1943, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of William and Pauline Marie (Clouse) George. 

Bonnie was a nurse and had been employed 20 years at Bedford Regional Medical Center.  She was a member of the Mitchell Nazarene Church.  Bonnie enjoyed crocheting and making candles.  She played trumpet in the Salvation Army Band.

Cameron Henderson and Rachel Duerksen
step granddaughter,
Britney Arce
great grandson,
Malachi Duerksen
step great grandchildren,
Asher Arce, Saeben Arce, and Liam Arce

Her parents; sons, Terry Henderson and Darrin Henderson; and siblings, Cathy McNeely, William P. George, Harold George, Mary Rayhill, and Robert “Bud” George,  preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 29, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Reverend Doyle Henderson officiating.  Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the service on Sunday at the funeral home.

    I worked with Bonnie at the Medical Center for 20 years. in the OB department. She was a wonderful nurse and person. She was wonderful to work with and she was very giving and loving to everyone. I am sorry for your loss. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers .
