MITCHELL – Bryan Keith Watson, 64, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Indiana University Health Hospice House.

Born January 28, 1959, in Bedford, he was the son of Bill Earl and Carol L. (Pemberton) Watson.  He married Sheila Kay Tuell on October 13, 2005 and she survives.

Bryan worked for the City of Mitchell as the Street Commissioner for many years.  He loved riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and camping.  He could fix anything.

Surviving are his wife, Sheila Kay Watson of Mitchell; children, Ryan (Caren Parker) Watson of Bedford and Nadgette Watson of Evansville; stepsons, Timothy Pemberton of Orleans and Thomas Pemberton of Bedford; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brothers, Barry Kent (Charlotte) Watson of Mitchell and Brent Kelly Watson of Mitchell.

His parents preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 30, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.  Burial will be at Lawrenceport Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, and from 9:30 a.m. until the service on Thursday, at the funeral home.

    Thank you Bryan for taking us on boat rides. I remember when you hit a stump in Lake Monroe and almost threw us all overboard!!! We laughed afterwards! I'm going to miss you, but I will see you in paradise brother. RIP

    I’m sorry to hear of Bryan’s passing. My sincere condolences to all his loved ones. He worked with my brother many years ago, and he witnessed the horrible accident that killed him. I’m quite sure he carried that in his heart all these years, as probably most that were there that day. He was kind to me when I encountered him, and some how let me know he held my brothers memory. I’m sure he realized how much each day mattered.
