MITCHELL – Charles Leroy Duncan, 78, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Mitchell Manor.

Born July 15, 1947, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Bradley and Georgia (Shirley) Duncan.

Leroy was a member of the Sons of American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107 Auxiliary in Mitchell.  He ran his own business doing construction and general contracting.

Surviving are his grandson, Travis Gratzer of Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Abigail Gratzer and Brantley Gratzer; and sister, Rita Gilstrap.

His parents; son, Travis Lee Duncan; and siblings, Bradley Eugene Duncan, Sheila Gilstrap, Monte Duncan, Clifford Duncan, and Mark Duncan, preceded him in death.

Cremation has been chosen.
