MITCHELL – Christopher “Chris” Shaun Fitzpatrick, 54, passed away Monday, January 6, 2025, at his residence.

Born May 24, 1970, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, he was the son of John Fitzpatrick and Karen (Minor) Hommelson. He married Teesa Williams on August 30, 2016 and she survives.

Chris was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving as a submariner for 8 years. He worked for White River Coal as a coal miner and later Net Shape in Campbellsburg. Chris was a member of the American Legion Post No. 250. He was a much loved son, husband, and grandfather.

Surviving are his wife, Teesa Fitzpatrick of Mitchell; children, Kelsie (Tyler) Guthrie of Bedford, Kassidie Fitzpatrick of St. Louis, Missouri, Kourtnie Fitzpatrick of Bedford, Wyatt Fitzpatrick of Imperial, Missouri, Olivia (Jake) Smith of Hillsboro, Missouri, Yvonne (Kevin) Rice of Festus, Missouri, Brad (Alise) Edmonds of St. Clair, Missouri, Tessa Edmonds of Festus, Missouri, Darby (Matt) Cooley of Wenatchee, Washington, and Dillon (Morgan) Pastors of Madison, Maine; fourteen grandchildren; brother, Kelly (April) Fitzpatrick of Opdyke, Illinois; and father, John (Pam) Fitzpatrick of Illinois.

His mother and grandparents preceded him in death.

Cremation has been chosen. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
