MITCHELL – Clara Belle Street Staggs, 84, Mitchell, passed away at 10:37 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center.
Born October 31, 1922, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Jesse H. and Addie (Asbell) Connerley. She married Roscoe Street in April, 1940, and he preceded her in death November 22, 1974. Her next marriage was to Estill Staggs in February, 1981, and he preceded her in death in 1998.
She was formerly employed at Trav-Lers, Roberts Brass, Stone City Products, and Dunn Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Liberty Christian Church.

Her parents, Jesse H. Connerley and Addie Davis; husbands; daughter, Sandra Coker; grandsons, Paul and Michael Street; brothers, Orvil, Tom, and Lowell Connerley; and sisters, Alberta Mills and Geneve Rizer, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 7, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Bro. Josh Brumfield officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
