MITCHELL – Clara Exell Herrington, 83, Mitchell, passed away at 5:20 a.m. Friday, October 20, at StoneBridge Health Campus, Bedford.
Born September 18, 1923, in Lexington, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Fred L. and Cora Ella (Petty) Parker. She married Charles R. Herrington February 15, 1943, and he preceded her in death December 13, 1998.
She was a homemaker and a member of Woodville Baptist Church.

Her parents; husband; sister, Gladys Parker; and brothers, William D. Parker and David W. Parker, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 23, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Reverend Glenn Hamer officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday and from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Monday at the funeral home.
