MITCHELL Clarence Robert York, 81, Mitchell, passed away at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at Village of Laurel Run in Fayetteville, Pennsylvania.
Born July 19, 1928, in Mitchell, he was the son of Herschel and Myrtle (Grimes) York.
He retired from Trav-Ler Radio Corporation, graduated from Mitchell High School in 1946, and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Robert was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250.

His parents and siblings, Harley York, Lucille McNeely, and Chase York preceded him in death.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 12, at Mitchell Cemetery with military honors will be accorded by Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250 and Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
