SPRINGVILLE – Darlene (Cummings) Voorhies, 70, passed away Monday February 7, 2022, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.

Born October 19, 1951, in Virginia, she was the daughter of Raymond and Pauline (Hatfield) King.

Darlene had been employed at the Marathon Gas Station.  She enjoyed spending time with friends and family and loved her animals.

Surviving:                 sons, Michael (Jessica) Voorhies of Springville

                                           Charles (Stephanie) Knight of Mitchell

                   grandchildren, Eli Voorhies, Abby Voorhies, Gage Cobb, Heather (Travis)

                                            Fuesler, Brian (Taylor) Knight, and Tosh Breedlove

                                            3 great grandchildren

Her parents and son, Kenneth Paul “KP” Voorhies, preceded her in death.

Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 11, at Mitchell Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. Friday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
