My mother knew David in Grenada in the 80s. She has told me about many memories she had with Mr Walton like how he used to climb mango trees and that she taught him how to cook some Caribbean dishes! He looked up my mother about 10-15 years ago and called her after many many years. Today, my mom told me to look him up on Facebook. I googled him and found this obituary. My mother is saddened by the news but still had more happy memories to share with me. She stated "he's definitely in heaven." I wanted to write this message to the Walton family to share that Mr David Walton has made an amazing impact with so many lives.

Evalyn and family, Dave was one of my best friends in high school and even beyond. We shared in the joys of God's Creation while backpacking, hiking or just buming around. His love for Jesus was real and consistent through the years. I thank the Lord for his friendship, he has enriched my life. "Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning." I had the honor to teach with Dave at Eastern Greene Schools. I truly enjoyed his passion for agriculture as well as his desire to do great things in the United States as he had all over the world. Our earthly home has lost a great one! You are in my thoughts and prayers during this time of loss!

So sorry to learn this. Knew Evalyn from the dairy, and spoke occasionally to David about lambs. We'll be keeping her and the children in our prayers. We'll ask God to keep you in the coming days and months.

I enjoyed having David in class during his undergraduate days at Purdue and then years later when he joined us for the Seminar on Wings course to Costa Rica. My thoughts and prayers are with his family on learning of his passing.
