MITCHELL David G. Stroud, 81, Mitchell, went to be with the Lord at 8:10 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Bedford Regional Medical Center.
Born June 6, 1926, in Lawrence County (Huron) he was the son of Jesse and Leva (Barlow) Stroud.
He retired from Carpenter BodyWorks in 1988 and was a member of Cornerstone Worship Center.

His parents; brothers: Arvid, Amel, Ermel, and Jesse Stroud, Jr.; and sisters: Ilene Guthrie and Helen Sorrells, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 10:00 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
