MITCHELL – Dearl Scott Eisele, 59, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital.
Born December 10, 1963, in Bedford, he was the son of Avon and Stella (Dotts) Eisele. He married Sharon Strunk on June 10, 2000 and she survives.
Scott had been a member of the Indiana Army National Guard. He worked as a machinist at Regal Beloit and then Bedford Machine and Tool. He loved to be with family and had a great sense of humor. Scott enjoyed the outdoors and fixing the grandkids broken toys and bicycles. He put other people first and had a heart of gold.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon Eisele of Mitchell; children, Diana (Jeff) Guthrie of Mitchell, Michael (Terra) McLaughlin of Heltonville, and Holly McLaughlin of Mitchell; grandchildren, Jordan McLaughlin of Bedford, Megan (Tony) Eads of Bedford, and Mackenzie McLaughlin of Paoli; great-grandson, Jason McLaughlin; and siblings, Avon Eisele, Jr. of Mitchell, Steve Eisele of Mitchell, Avonelle (Jerry) Lake of Mitchell, Louise (Stanley) Fullen of Fayetteville, and Max Eisele of Mitchell.
His parents; grandson, Anthony Wade; and sister, Bobbi Jo Strunk, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 14, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Dwight Dunbar officiating. Military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107. Burial will be at Mitchell Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
