ORLEANS – Dennis Ronald Bohlman, 67, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
Born May 23, 1958, in Watseka, Illinois, he was the son of Ronald Herman and Mary Nadine (Newtson) Bohlman. He married Georgia Hicks on February 14, 1981, and she survives. Dennis was of the Lutheran Faith.
He was a 1976 graduate of Mitchell High School. Dennis attended Purdue University where he received a certificate in Agriculture. He was a lifelong farmer, employed by River View Farms since 1988 along with owning his own farm. Dennis loved raccoon hunting, and was a member of the Medora Coon Hunters Club. He greatly loved his three coon dogs.
Surviving are his wife, Georgia Bohlman of Orleans; siblings, Annette Bohlman of Bedford, and Alan (Theresa) Bohlman of Crab Orchard, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and many great friends.
His parents; son, Derrick Denney; and brother, Joey Bohlman, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 19, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Dwight Dunbar officiating. Burial will be at Mitchell Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
