BEDFORD Diana Patricia Smith, 68, Melbourne, Florida, formerly of Bedford, passed away at 11:48 a.m. Friday, November 12, 2010, at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
Born October 14, 1942, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Leo and Viola (Newbold) Smart. She married William Henry Smith, Jr., July 7, 1982.
Diana was a beautician and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Florida, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Oolitic, and Order of the Moose Lodge in Bedford.

A memorial service will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Darlene Battcher officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
