MITCHELL – Earl Leroy Shoults, 84, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.

Born November 14, 1936, in Salem, he was the son of Paul and Pauline (Myers) Shoults.  He married Rebecca Reid June 29, 1956.

Leroy retired from Jefferson Trucking and had also been employed at Russell Trucking and Mitchell Transport.  He loved still board shooting, fishing, mowing, and caring for his grandkids.  Leroy had been affiliated with the Mt. Carmel Christian Church.

Surviving:            wife, Rebecca Shoults of Mitchell

                       children, Michael Lee (Ann) Shoults of Paoli

                                      Aaron Trent (Kim) Shoults of Mitchell

                                      Darron Brent (Crystal) Shoults of Loogootee

                                      Heidi Johanna (Toby) King of Mitchell

                                      8 grandchildren

                                      8 great grandchildren

                       siblings, Dwight Shoults of Campbellsburg

                                      Betty Roll of Pekin

His parents and a granddaughter preceded him in death.

Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, at Dixon Chapel Cemetery with Brother Allen Burris officiating.

    Betty, Dwight, Becky, and kids so sorry to hear about Leroy’s passing. Was a cousin that always talked at the family reunion's that mom was so happy to go to, had a smile and a great laugh. Always admired the family man he was, good man. Sure liked this guy!
