ORLEANS Eddalou Smith, 76, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021, at her residence.

Born May 9, 1945, in Shoals, she was the daughter of Edward and Margaret (Hart) Jones.

Eddalou retired from Visteon and attended the Orleans Wesleyan Church.  She was a graduate of Shoals High School.  Eddalou enjoyed yard sales, playing with the grandkids, cooking, and visiting with the Amish.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 5, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Mike Hester officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

    Eddalou was one of the sweetest that worked at Ford/Visteon. Always greeted everyone with her warm sweet smile. She was fun, just a bundle of joy. It was a joy just to work with her. My love and prayers for her family and friends.
