MITCHELL Eleanor “Sis” Graves, 78, passed away at 4:07 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at Garden Villa in Bedford.
Born March 13, 1934, in Martin County, she was the daughter of Newton A. and Maude L. (Smith) Taflinger. She married Robert I. Graves in 1955, and he preceded her in death September 4, 1991.
She had been employed at Regal-Beloit and was former owner of Annie’s Old Place. Sis enjoyed walking and crocheting.

Her parents; husband; children, Victor Graves and Julie Graves; siblings, Newton J. Taflinger and Anna McCart; and granddaughter, Sheena Graves, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 6, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Bro. Greg McBride officiating. Cremation was chosen and burial will be at noon, Friday, April 13, 2012, in Mitchell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
