MITCHELL – Eli Taylor, Jr., 517 South Eighth Street, Mitchell, passed away at 8:20 p.m. Sunday, August 6, 2006, at his residence.
Born July 12, 1935, in Laurel County, Kentucky, he was the son of Eli and Nellie May (Rush) Taylor. He married Jewel Ramsey September 4, 1976.
He was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran and a member of Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250.
He was a carpenter, had been employed at RCA, and was a member of the Mitchell Wesleyan Church.

Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, August 13, at Patton Hill Cemetery with Reverend Steve Jones officiating. Military honors will be accorded by Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250 and Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
