Coeur d’Alene, Idaho Elizabeth C. (Wilson) Dayton, 89, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, formerly of Bedford, passed away at 10:40 p.m. Friday, November 5, 2010, at her residence.

Born June 21, 1921, in Greene County, she was the daughter of Robert Herman and Martha (White) Wilson. She first married Daniel O. Baker and later married Dr. Ralph O. Dayton.

She retired from the Bedford-North Lawrence School system in 1986, where she managed the bookstore and handled extra-curriculum accounts for Bedford-North Lawrence High School. Elizabeth graduated cum laude from Northwood Institute at the age of 52.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served a mission for the church at the Chicago Temple.

She enjoyed making new friends and acquaintances where ever she lived or traveled. Her favorite pastimes were gardening and long walks with her friends and pet dog, Tinker-Bell. She was a lady who just never gave up on a good challenge, and she inspired many people during her life to do the same.

Her parents; both husbands; sons, Robert Daniel Baker and Hiram Rodney Baker; sisters, Rebecca Fayette Wilson and Beatrice June Wilson; brother, Robert Herman Wilson, Jr.; and grandson, Robert Daniel Baker, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 12, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Heine Tlustek, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at noon in Dishman Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Chastain Funeral Home.
