MITCHELL Elmer Conley, 74, Mitchell, passed away at 7:45 a.m.Saturday, December 8, 2007, at Bloomington Hospital.
Born March 15, 1933, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Everett and Mabel M. (Bowers) Conley. He married Joyce Maxine Chatham November 10, 1951, and she preceded him in death March 11, 2001.
He retired from Rogers Group with 30 years of service, graduated from Mitchell High School in 1951, and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
He was a member and past master of Mitchell Masonic Lodge No. 228 F&AM.

His parents; wife; daughter, Beth Ann Conley; sister, Gail Witmer; and brother, Edgar Conley, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 13, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Bro. David Conley and Rev. Bill Graham officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, Orleans.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
