MITCHELL – Ernest Larry Sanders, 71, passed away at 5:48 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2013, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born April 24, 1941, in Bedford, he was the son of Lloyd and Effie Clorine (Houchin) Sanders.  He was married to Marilyn K. Mullinax and she preceded him in death April 25, 2005.

He was a truck driver for Turner Transportation and Hall Brothers.  Larry was a U. S. Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post No. 250.

Surviving:      children, Larry Dean (Bridget) Sanders, Mitchell
                                  Starina (Mark) Chambers, Solsberry
                                  Troy Dee Sanders, Seymour
                         sister, Mary Crozier, East Oolitic
                                  several grandchildren and great grandchildren

His parents; wife; sister, Sarah Elizabeth Sanders; and a great grandson preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Bro. Jerry Allen officiating.  Graveside service will be at 10:00 Wednesday at Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.

 Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
