MITCHELL – Faye Irene Bell, 90, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.

Born March 5, 1933, in Orange County, she was the daughter of Floyd Isom and Iva Mae (Owens) Allen.  Faye married Kenneth L. Bell on January 31, 1953 and he preceded her in death May 7, 2020.

Faye was a 1952 graduate of Paoli High School.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Mitchell Wesleyan Church.  Faye liked to play Bingo, was a good seamstress, enjoyed arts and crafts, and loved shopping for clothes.

Surviving are her grandchildren, Tessa (Cory) Mikels of Bedford and Daniel (Jennifer) Bell of Bedford; great-grandchildren, D.J. (Emily) Randolph, Mason Gaines, Kendal Spires, Jayce Mikels, and Kyler Mikels; great-great-grandchildren, Zeke and Ky; brother-in-law, Larry (Roseanne) Bell of Mitchell; and sister-in-law, Emma James of Orleans.

Her parents; husband; son, Danny L. Bell; and siblings, Leon Allen, Bill Allen, Wilbur Allen, Haskel Allen, Norma Winegar, Luther Allen, and George Allen, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 10, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Reverend Steve Jones officiating.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home.
