MITCHELL – Gary Stephen Eisele, 70, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025, at his residence.

Born August 5, 1954, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Avon and Stella Marie (Dotts) Eisele.

Steve worked in construction.  He enjoyed volunteering at the Hoosier Hills Mobile Food Bank.

Surviving are his daughter, Stacey of Orleans; grandchild, Deylyn Fancher; great-grandchild, Taylyn Fields; siblings, Avon Eisele, Jr. of Mitchell, Max Eisele of Mitchell, Avonelle (Jerry) Lake of Mitchell, and Louise (Stanley) Fullen of Fayetteville; ex-wife, Linda Faye (Ash) Eisele of Orleans; caregiver, Justin Lake of Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents and siblings, Scott Eisele and Barbara Strunk, preceded him in death.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 18, at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.  Cremation will follow with burial at Mitchell Cemetery at a later date.
