SAN LEANDRO, CALIFORNIA — George “Bud” Quigley, 76, passed away September 27, 2013.
Born November 12, 1936, in Mitchell, he was the son of Rocker and Margaret (Beaver) Quigley.
George graduated from Richmond Union High School in 1955, and served as a helicopter pilot in the U. S. Army from 1955-1958.
He had resided in San Leandro since 1963 and was employed at Unocal, retiring with 38 years of service. In addition, he coached high school football in San Leandro and Castro Valley for over 40 years. He was also instrumental in setting up the Pop Warner Football program in San Leandro.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Mickey and David Quigley.
Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, at Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
He was loved much and will be greatly missed.
