BEDFORD Harold Lee Poole, 79, Bedford, passed away at 2:17 a.m. Monday, September 8, 2008, at White River Lodge in Bedford.

Born February 15, 1929, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Elmer Dell and Fannie Mae (Pemberton) Poole. He married Madeline Gail Cook.

He was a self employed carpenter millwright, and a member of the Order of the Eagles No. 654.

His parents; daughter, Judith Gayle Moore; stepson, Rodney Helderman; brothers: James Poole, John “Budge” Poole, and Leslie Poole; and sisters, Dorothy Poole and Zella Pruett, preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 11, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Grace officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:30 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
