BEDFORD – Hazelene Hutton, 80, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023, at White River Lodge.
Born January 12, 1943, in Hazard County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Roy and Eula Mae (Gamble) Stidham.
Hazelene worked as a hairdresser and bartender. She was a former auxiliary member of the American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No.9107. Hazelene enjoyed bingo, fishing, gambling, socializing, and sewing. She was a world traveler. Hazelene loved life and loved her family.
Surviving are her children, Geoffrey Ray Strange of Bedford, Alisa (Tom Schellens) Strange of The Netherlands, Melanie (Ryan) King of Bedford, and Joy (Kevin Ramsey) Herald of Bedford; grandchildren, Shea (Samantha) Overton, Jordan Bell, Joshua (Geordan) Harris, Ashlynn (Ravyn) Needhamer, Caitlin (Jack) Herald, Nathan King, and Nick (Katelyn) King; great-grandchildren, Rylan, Jeremy, Jayce, Alek, Nolan, Halle, Layla, Asher, Phoebe, Emma, and Averi; and siblings, Wilma Beason of Illinois, Ivory Grunden of Indianapolis, Frank Stidham of Georgetown, and Christine Winslow of Tennessee.
Her parents; siblings, Ival Stidham, Darrell Stidham, Norma McCutchon, and Ronnie Stidham; and sister-in-law, Linda Stidham, preceded her in death.
Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 4, at Union Chapel Cemetery in Milltown with Brother Nathan King officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Monday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
