MITCHELL – Imogene Rose Crites, 92, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born May 19, 1931, in Nevada, Missouri, she was the daughter of Charles and Esther (Doyle) Ault.  Imogene married William G. Crites on April 23, 1964 and he preceded her in death in 1994.

Imogene worked in retail for several years and was a homemaker.  She was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mitchell.  Imogene was involved with the Boy Scouts for over 10 years, as well as 4-H, and other community organizations.

Surviving are her sons, Charles William (Michelle) Crites of Mitchell and Paul Eugene (Jennifer) Crites of Springville; grandchildren, Logan Crites, Jacob Crites, Caleb Crites, and Estevan Ayala; great-grandchildren, Evan Ayala, Marie Godinez, Christine Godinez, and Elizabeth Russell; family member, Pat Holding; and best friend, Ruth York.

Her parents, husband, and granddaughter, Ashley Godinez, preceded her in death.

Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 24, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Jegan Peter and Deacon Dave Rising officiating.  Burial will be at Cresthaven Memory Gardens

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Friday at the church.
