MITCHELL James C. Prince, Jr., 85, passed away at 3:52 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at IU Health Bedford Hospital.

Born October 23, 1926, in Hot Springs County, Arkansas, he was the son of James C. and Mildred (Fickle) Prince, Sr. He married Dorothy Louise Loy November 30, 1946.

He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of the Mitchell Living Water Church of God.

James retired from General Motors in 1985.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 9, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. Van Glidewell and Rev. Ray Jones officiating. Burial will be in Knott Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
