MITCHELL – James Edward “Bud” Hart, 76, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021, at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born September 14, 1944, Daviess County, he was the son of Chester Paul and Olive (Yarbough) Hart. He married Alverta Sue (Goad) Conley September 19, 1981.
Bud retired from the Jay-C Food Store, and was a graduate of Shoals High School. He was a member of Spice Valley Baptist Church and Mitchell Masonic Lodge No. 228 F&AM. Bud enjoyed going to church, fishing, being outside, and loved his family.

His father, Chester Paul Hart; mother Olive Jones; step-father, Merle Jones,; and brothers, Chester Hart, and an infant, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 6, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Reverend Roger Allen officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home. A memorial service will be conducted by the Mitchell Masonic Lodge No. 228 F&AM at 1:30 p.m. Friday.
