MITCHELL – Jan Arlene Ellis, 71, 1116 North Eighth Street, Mitchell, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2006, at her residence.
Born December 21, 1934, in Avalon, Santa Catalina Island, California, she was the daughter of Harold Glenn and Muriel (Rogers) Hoover. She married John R. Ellis December 24, 1951.
She retired from General Electric. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and had been a member of the Altar Society, Forensic Forum, and the Lawrence County Mental Health Association. She graduated from Mitchell High School in 1952.

Her parents preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 31, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Father Rick Eldred officiating. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
