SPRINGVILLE – Jane Emily Phillips, 77, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at her residence.
Born October 21, 1946, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Edward Vernon and Violet Lorraine (Wynn) Slaughter. Jane married Wendell Floyd Phillips on March 25, 2018 and he survives.
Jane was a 1965 graduate of Mitchell High School and retired from NSWC – Crane. She was a member of the Springville Pentecostal Mission Church. Jane love to travel and was proud to have been to all 50 states. She was the ultimate caregiver and loved taking care of people.
Surviving are her husband, Wendell Floyd Phillips of Springville; step-children, Kay (Jim) Churchman of Pekin, Kathy Phillips of Bedford, Kenny Phillips of Bedford, and Doug (Lori) Phillips of Grantsburg; several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, John Slaughter of Mitchell; nephews, John Edward-Dale Slaughter, Timothy Atkins, and Teddy Atkins; nieces, Jennifer King Kennedy and Roxie Lynn Barnes; goddaughter, Rebekah (Dustin) Brain of Springville; and step daughter-in-law, Marilyn Phillips of Springville.
Her parents; step-son, Reverend Alan Phillips; and siblings, Joyce Slaughter and Jeff Slaughter, preceded her in death.
Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 9, at Talbott Cemetery with Reverend Keith Thompson officiating.
