MITCHELL – Janice Ann “Tooker” Jones, 87, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at her residence.

Born October 17, 1933, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Cedric Smith and Rowena (Barnes) Smith Reuter.  She married Charles Robert “PeeWee” Jones March 18, 1951, and he preceded her in death February 24, 2007.

Janice retired from Revco with 16 ½ years of service.  She assisted Adrienne Clouse with Brownie Scouts.  Janice graduated from Mitchell High School in 1951 and was a member of the Jacob Finger United Methodist Church.

Janice loved her grandkids and her great grandkids were a blessing.

Her parents; stepfather, Ervin Reuter; husband; and son, Barry Ray Jones, preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 18, at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.  Private graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.

    To the Jones family, I am sorry for your loss. I haven't seen Tooker in probably 40 years, but was she was pretty now as she was in the late 40's and 50's. I was great friends with both Peewee and Tooker befor and after they were married. (My wife Jean and I were at their wedding reception) I remember them fondly.
