MITCHELL – Janice Diane Reynolds, 62, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021, at her home.

Born June 29, 1959, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Carl Eugene “Gene” and Eleda (Watterson) Reynolds.

Diane graduated from Mitchell High School in 1977, received a bachelor’s degree from the Indiana University School of Nursing in 1982, and was a registered nurse.  She attended the Restoration Church of the Nazarene.  Diane enjoyed her cats and gardening.

Survivors include her brother, Danny Eugene (Ada) Reynolds of Mitchell; her faithful companion, Sam Miller of Mitchell; and his grandchildren Jakob, Bayleigh, Samuel Adam, and Sarah Miller.

Her parents and infant sister, Martha Jean Reynolds, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Dr. Gary Pate officiating.  Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family requests that masks be worn and follow social distancing guidelines.
