BEDFORDJean Freeman, 80, Bedford, formerly of Bryantsville, passed away at 6:25 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford.

Born July 19, 1929, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Ellsworth and Della Mae (Dove) George. She married Roy E. Freeman May 14, 1949, and he preceded her in death June 2, 2000.

She retired from K-Mart and was a member of the Red Hat Society, Bryantsville Homemakers, Prim Priscilla Club, and was a Pink Lady at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Jean was a member of the Bryantsville Church of Christ.

Robert “Bobby” Freeman and wife, Patty, Santa Maria, California

Her parents; husband; sister, Mima Pender; and brother, Hubert George, preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Bro. Ken Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Bryantsville Church of Christ Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
