MITCHELL Jesse W. Cook, 75, Mitchell, passed away at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at Bedford Regional Medical Center.
Born September 9, 1933, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Howard Scott and Flossie (Pemberton) Cook. He married Pauline Marie Allen July 7, 1957.
He retired from RCA and was a member of the Mitchell Church of the Nazarene.
Jesse was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

His parents; sisters, Betty Wood, Mickey Ashby, Thelma Kidwell, and Edith Kidwell; and brothers, Gene and Walter Cook, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 12, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Bechtel officiating. Burial will be in Knott Cemetery with military honors accorded by Cecil C. Martin American Legion Post No. 250 and Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
