LIBERTY – John Wendell Holmes, 78, Liberty, formerly of Mitchell, passed away at 2:55 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 2007, at Liberty Group Home.
Born March 1, 1929, in Mitchell, he was the son of Wendell and Mildred (Ridge) Holmes.
He was a member of Jacob Finger United Methodist Church, and enjoyed trains.

His parents and sister, Marian Caudell, preceded him in death.
Graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, at Mitchell Cemetery with Rev. Charles Newman officiating.
