MITCHELL – Johnny Bill Barlow, 68, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020, at his residence.

Born July 16, 1952, in Mitchell, he was the son of William M. Barlow and Joanne (Dalton) Ryder.  He married Brenda Joyce Harper March 2, 1970, and she preceded him in death July 30, 2014.

John was a self-employed carpenter and a hard working man.   He loved his family and had been saved at this residence.

He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.

His father and wife preceded him in death.

Graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, at Mitchell Cemetery with military honors accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.

    Was Mr. Chastain in the Navy Reserve for several years in Terre Haute in the 1980s? If so, we served together. I was just looking him up and found this. Right age, similar appearance.
